Andrievsky Grigory Lazarevich

CITY: Buryat-Mongolian ASSR. Gavrilovka village DATE OF BIRTH: - DATE OF DEATH: - HISTORY: I knew very little about my great-grandfather Andrievsky Grigory Lazarevich. It is known that he was born in the Yeravninsky district in the village of Gavrilovka in 1912. He went to the front in the first months of the war, when he was 29 years old. His wife Praskovya Petrovna and four small children remained in his native village. Then the story ends. According to the recollections of my grandfather's son Volodya, my father fought somewhere near Stalingrad. The connection was interrupted because there were no letters. The whole family considered him missing. In the family album, only a single portrait has survived, which was taken before the war or in the early days of the war, as evidenced by the entry on the back of the photo. This year, on the eve of the Victory anniversary, my family decided to create their own small family archive "My family in the history of the war." In order to learn at least something about my grandfather, a participant in the Second World War, we had to use the electronic archives placed on the information portals "Memorial", "Memory of the People", "Heroic deeds of the people", found a page in the "Book of Memory" of Buryatia, where there was updated information regarding my grandfather, since in its previous version it said “Missing”, in the new version “Buried in Volgograd” From the documents that we managed to find, it became known that before the war my grandfather worked as a combine operator and grew bread. And in the war he rose to the rank of sergeant in a rifle division. According to different documents, the place of service changed at different times. According to the place of burial and his date of death, in this time period, we assumed that the place of his burial could be the Smolensk region. Found articles of search parties with lists of losses. Having learned from the archival documents the place of the last battle of my grandfather, Smolensk region, Iznoskovsky district, village Pinashino, we decided to study the material of fraternal burials on this territory. Seeing the map of the mass graves, they were horrified at their number. It seems that in this area there is no centimeter of land that has not absorbed the blood of its defenders. On the Internet, on various sites, we found information about a mass grave, which, we think, may be the burial place of my great-grandfather. The name of my great-grandfather also appeared on the monument in the villages of Sosnovo-Ozerskoye and Gunda. Having decided to perpetuate the memory of our great-grandfather, we created a hero page on the site “Memory of the people. Memory road ". My family will never forget that my grandfather Andrievsky Grigory Lazarevich and millions of heroes who fought during the Great Patriotic War saved the whole world from fascism so that we could live under a peaceful sky so that children would shout “Hurray!” When they fire cannons and the Victory salute sparkles in the sky!
