Podosokorye, Solvychegodsky district DATE OF BIRTH: 01/09/1919 DATE OF DEATH: 05/04/1990 HISTORY: Stepan Andreevich Anokhovsky born in 1919, a native of the village of Podosokorye, Solvychegodsky district, was drafted into the army for military service on 10/05/1939, by the Solvychegodsky district military commissariat. Then he did not even suspect that he would return to his homeland only in the summer of 1946. Stepan, a Red Army border guard, served in the 95th Border Detachment in Western Ukraine. The service was not easy, defectors were detained from the territory of Romania all the time. On June 22, 1941, the war began. The 95th border detachment was attacked by enemy motorized infantry. The Germans did not manage to take by surprise the border outpost where Stepan served. The attack was repulsed. At the end of July 1941, in the area of the city of Uman, a significant part of the Soviet troops of the Southwestern Front was surrounded. In the future, the following events followed: defensive battles, attempts to break through the enemy's encirclement, shell shock, injury and enemy capture. The second attempt to escape from enemy captivity was successful. When they managed to get to their own people, the NKVD investigators were not without interrogation. After numerous checks, he was reinstated and sent to the active army. Further service he served in the 41st Rifle Regiment, 84th Red Banner Kharkov Rifle Division as part of the 2nd Ukrainian Front, as an anti-tank gunner (ATR). When the Red Army went on the offensive, he was retrained to another military specialty - mortar. In the military rank of senior sergeant, he was the commander of a mortar crew in the mortar battery of the 382nd Infantry Regiment. Stepan Andreevich took part in the liberation of Ukraine, Moldavia, Romania, Yugoslavia, Hungary, Czechoslovakia, Austria. After the end of the Great Patriotic War, Senior Sergeant Anokhovsky Stepan Andreevich - commander of the 122 mm howitzer, 78th howitzer regiment, served in Romania near the city of Arad. From there he was demobilized in the 3rd stage on June 3, 1946. Stepan Andreevich was awarded the Order of the Patriotic War of the 1st degree, medals "For Courage", "For the capture of Budapest", For the victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 ", as well as jubilee medals.
