Fyodor Nikolayevich Alekseev was born on September 17, 1918 in the village of Tavolzhanka, Korsunsky district, Kuibyshev region, in the family of Nikolai Ivanovich Alekseev (1886-1919), a participant in World War I, and Evdokia Nikiforovna Alekseev (Igonina) (1888-1969). Alekseev Nikolai Ivanovich came from the war sick with consumption and soon died. Before the war, Fyodor Nikolaevich and his wife left for Maktensky district, Okmarinskaya oblast, Kazakh SSR, where he was engaged in pottery for about 2 years. In October 1940, the non-partisan Fyodor Nikolaevich was drafted by the Makten Military Commissariat into the ranks of the Red Army. The Red Army soldier Fyodor Nikolaevich served since 1940 in the Byelorussian SSR as a rifleman in the 351st joint venture rifle regiment, here in 1941 he was caught by the Great Patriotic War. He took part in hostilities with the fascist invaders as part of the 49th Red Banner Rifle Division, which by 06/22/1941 was stationed in the Brest region of the Byelorussian SSR and was one of the first to take battle against the Nazi invaders. In heavy battles, the rifle division in which Fyodor Nikolaevich served, as a result of bloody battles, suffered significant losses. The final battles of the rifle division lasted until July 03, 1941, after which the division died in the so-called Bialystok cauldron. The surviving part of the Red Army joined in scattered groups with the remnants of units of other divisions and tried to break through to their own units of the Red Army. During the attempts to break through, there were repeated skirmishes and battles with the fascist invaders. After one of these battles, left without ammunition, exhausted and hungry, Fyodor Nikolayevich was forced to take refuge in one of the village houses, where he was captured by the Nazis who surrounded the village and, together with other residents of the village, was sent to West Germany. Fyodor Nikolaevich was considered missing since 10/25/1943 near the village of Putki, Chaussky district, Mogilev region, Byelorussian SSR. But the units of the rifle regiment did not have to take part in the hostilities, since after reaching the Urals, they learned that the war had ended in the east. Fyodor Nikolaevich was demobilized on 08/15/1946. After demobilization, he came to the village of Sukhoi Karsun, where he worked on a collective farm and in the winter he was engaged in pottery.
