CITY: Tula region, Plavsky district, Pochinino village DATE OF BIRTH: 10/26/1922 DATE OF DEATH: 10/19/1994 HISTORY: Alexander Vasilyevich Aristarkhov was born on October 26, 1922 in the Pochinino village of the Krapivensky district of the Tula province (now it is the Plavsky district of the Tula region). Immediately after the start of the Great Patriotic War, on July 26, 1941, he was drafted into the ranks of the Red Army by the Leninsky District Military Commissariat of Moscow. During the Moscow battle, junior sergeant Alexander Vasilyevich Aristarkhov commanded a rifle squad of a foot reconnaissance platoon of the 2nd battalion of the 18th separate rifle brigade of the Western Front, from December 2 to December 22, 1941. On December 16 and 18, 1941, at the head of his squad, he participated in night sorties behind enemy lines in order to identify his forces located in the area of ​​the village of Aprelevka in the direction of the city of Naro-Fominsk. On December 19-22, 1941, Aristarkhov A.V. participated in night battles as part of a tank landing, near the city of Volokolamsk participated in three attacks. On December 22, 1941, after three days of fighting for a strong point near the town of Staro-Ivanovka, his rifle squad went into reconnaissance in force to identify enemy firing points. On the way back, as a result of machine-gun and mortar fire, A.V. Aristarkhov was seriously wounded by an explosive bullet (with damage to the lung and ribs). On March 11, 1942, he was demobilized from the ranks of the Red Army with a disability of the second group. After treatment, he received the third group of disability and worked for many years as a mechanic at the Stalin automobile plant, made many rationalization proposals. In October 1944, for heroic deeds during the counter-offensive near Moscow, Aristarkhov Alexander Vasilyevich was nominated for the Order of the Red Star, which was replaced by the medal "For Courage". He died on October 19, 1994 and was buried at the Danilovskoye cemetery, together with members of his family, participants in the Great Patriotic War: an older brother and sister, my mother, a participant in the defense of Moscow (labor front) - Kolesnikova (Aristarkhova) Valentina Vasilievna. Mom, until her death in May 2012, carefully kept the photographs of her brother.
