Harutyunyan Senik Srapovich

CITY: ASSR DATE OF BIRTH: 08/17/1910 DATE OF DEATH: 05/03/1987 HISTORY: Title: Red Army. Type of troops: Artillery. Division: 1st Anti-Aircraft Artillery Division. Harutyunyan Senik Srapovich was born in 1910 in Armenia. In a peasant family of 8 people. Senik was the middle son. Educated 6 classes. After the revolution, he began to work on a collective farm, was a Komsomol member, and took part in collectivization. When the Second World War began, all the sons were called to the front. Great-grandfather fought on the southern front in the Crimea. In 1942 in March he was captured in the camp of the city of Zhitomir. In September 1942 he organized an escape from the camp. 8 people escaped with him. Having organized an escape from the German camp, my great-grandfather Senik Srapovich fought in the detachment named after Chapaev as part of the partisan unit of Yu.I. Melnikov, who operated on the territory of the Zhytomyr region of Ukraine. A group of 5 partisans, operating on the Novgorod-Volynsk-Zhitomir highway, destroyed 1 and captured 2 German cars. And on the night of March 1944, partisans attacked a railway bridge, killing 50 enemy soldiers. Returning to the partisan base, the saboteurs mined the railroad bed, as a result of which the train with the enemy's manpower derailed. The partisan detachment of my great-grandfather had a connection with the patrol organization led by G.S. Protosevich. Thanks to the underground, a printing house appeared in the partisan detachment. The leaflets contained messages from the Soviet Information Bureau and poems by Soviet poets. Together with the underground workers, the Chapaev partisan detachment carried out a very large sabotage, - recalls the great-grandfather. In the spring of 1943, at the Stanishevka station, a group of partisans set fire to tanks with gasoline and made a collision of 2 enemy echelons. 14 wagons with ammunition and 2 steam locomotives were destroyed. The movement was restored only after a week. On another occasion, the partisans learned that the Zhitomir commissar general Leizer issued an order dated April 17, 1943 on "Total mobilization", that is, on the hijacking of labor to Germany from Zhitomir. The partisans carried out a very daring operation and saved 7,800 people from theft. In late 1943 - early 1944, the Red Army started fighting in Zhitomir, and the Nazis were soon driven out. Her actions were greatly facilitated by the struggle of the partisans. At the call of the Motherland, at the behest of conscience, the partisans rose to mortal combat with the invaders and made a worthy contribution to the achievement of the great Victory. Until 1944, Senik remained in the partisan detachment, until Ukraine was liberated from the Nazi invaders. Since 1944 he served in the field army "First Ukrainian Front". My great-grandfather came to Berlin. In 1945 he was demobilized. Upon arrival home, he continued to work on the collective farm. Military awards, medals, photos and documents of that time are carefully kept in the family archive. Harutyunyan Senik Srapovich was awarded: - "Order of the Patriotic War of the 2nd degree"; - Medal "For Victory over Germany in WWII 1941-1945"; The victorious spring of 1945 was brought by our soldiers, such as my great-grandfathers!
