Since September 1941 - by evacuation of people, pedigree livestock and material values. Since October 14, 1941 - a member of the headquarters of the Lotoshinsky partisan detachment. The detachment was stationed in a large forest in the northern part of the Lotoshinsky district and in the southern part of the Turginovsky district, now the Tver region. The partisans collected information about the deployment of the Germans in Lotoshino and Lotoshinsky district and transferred it to the 30th Army. Most of the combat operations of the partisan detachment took place on the Lotoshino-Mikulino road, because this road was of strategic importance for the Germans, in the Kalinin direction. According to the reports of the platoon commanders, the partisan detachment in 68 days destroyed more than 250 German soldiers and officers, 21 vehicles with ammunition, 4 buses with "manpower", 1 aircraft, 2 cars, 1 motorcycle. The bridge and 2 sheds with ammunition were blown up, about 500 m of the telephone cable was cut.
