HOW MANY WAYS I WALKED (according to the stories of my grandfather about the war) How hard are the memories of the war, when you went through it yourself - doubly. It was left to "our brother then", I would never wish the enemy! The battles went on, we had to retreat, How hard to admit defeat . There was a bloody battle near the Smolensk region. I am telling the story that happened with me. Volleys rang out, planes howl. I woke up: wounded, I feel: alive! Two frits are standing over me, And a machine gun is pointed at me. "Hen de hoch!" - well, come on. Well, I think, "dear goodbye!" So I was taken prisoner by the Germans, We were in the freight train, like from logs, they stuffed us, it’s better to carry cattle. Belly grumbled from hunger, Fever, chills ! It would be better to go straight to the coffin! And the wound aches, and blood oozes, I am apparently saved by love. Soldiers die almost every hour. For some reason the Lord saved me! I propose to run from the train, It is better to die for victory. In the floor we opened two boards, And on the move made jumps. We strayed for a long time, there was a Belgian forest, We were dragging Sashka forward. Where we were going, we did not understand, But our strength began to dry out. We fell asleep at night in that wilderness, Around the swamp, not a soul. Wild wolves heard a howl. A tear from my eyes that I’m alive! I woke up in the morning from a kick, And a Fritz had a foot in his boot, And the muzzle of a machine gun again, My eyes flooded with my blood. Again dogs, captivity, beatings, Above unarmed - heroes! I have no strength to watch all this, I managed to turn gray at thirty. Again escape, again forests, Instead of water there was dew. Chestnuts ate - the Lord gave! Chilly cold, gushing rain. So I got to the partisans, I fought in the Belgian forests. And how I wanted to go to my friends, I was sure that They blew up the rails, trains, put obstacles to fascism. Detachment "for the Motherland". At that time, the Germans were already giving a fight! Hurray! Victory! Screams! Screams! And joyful faces in a smile! It's time to go home! A family is waiting there, But I can't go there yet. Filters, long checks, Then to the Gulag and the camps. I'm a former prisoner, that's fate! But I have only one homeland! Relatives received a funeral, Before the images they asked for me, I went my front line, I used to look at my relatives with an eye. Here is Russia, here is the dear home. Dear, here I am, I stand alive! We met two little boys on the doorstep, They didn’t remember their father for a long time. And Pelageya hugs her daughter, Lip shakes, runs away. Then rushes to me: “What should I do now? Someone else's wife! ”God grant that there is no war. And my sons lived on earth for a long time, And the main thing is that there is silence in the sky, This, apparently, is my fate.
