Source of information: TSAMO. Number of the historical information Fund: 58. Inventory and information number: 818883. Case number and information: 843. This person is my grandfather (my mother's father). Before the war, Savely worked in the mine, was tall and strong man. In the copy of the page from the report on losses from the site "Memory of the People", my grandfather's last Name is at the very end of the document. It should be noted, that most of the statements about the death of a person in this report contain the words: "went missing". Aerial bombs, mortar and tank shells literally leveled the Soviet positions to the ground. But still it should be noted that the Soviet soldiers fought bravely, destroying dozens of enemy tanks! Later, the 169 Rifle Division retreated in the direction of the Don and Volga rivers, and after being re-formed, it participated in the battle of Stalingrad.
