Babkin Kuzma Alekseevich

Rank: Lieutenant. Type of troops: Artillery. Subdivision: 57th Guards Rifle Novobugskaya Orders of Suvorov and Bogdan Khmelnitsky Division. Born on February 23, 1922 in the village of Chermoshnianka, Kirov state farm, Kokchetav region. He became an orphan at the age of 12. He worked on the collective farm“ Industriya” in 1934. K.Babkin was drafted into the ranks of the Red Army in November 1941 by the Soviet RVC, Kazakh SSR, North Kazakhstan area, Soviet region. During the Great Patriotic War he liberated the town of Izyum, was wounded there, spent more than 9 months in a hospital, became a war invalid. He graduated from the Agricultural Institute in Kurgan. From September 1944 to August 1950 K.Babkin worked as a teacher of military training course for students of the Kirov secondary school in the Soviet district of the North Kazakhstan region. From 1950 to 1954 he worked as the secretary of the party organization of the Kiyalinsky state farm of the Soviet district of the North Kazakhstan region. From January 1954 to August 1955 he was elected and worked as the secretary of the district party committee for the Presnovskaya MTS Zone. From August 1955 to February 1957, he worked as chairman of the collective farm named after N. Khrushchev and developed it (Kladbinka village, Presnovsky district of the North Kazakhstan region). From February 1957 to December 1974 he worked as the director of the Mirolyubovsk state farm in the Presnovsky district of the North Kazakhstan region. From December 1974 to February 1985 he worked as the chief state inspector for the purchasing and quality of agricultural products in the Sokolovsk district of the North Kazakhstan region. From 1955 to 1974 he lived in Kladbinka village, Presnovsky district, later (from 1974 to 1994) stayed in Sokolovka village, Northern Kazakhstan. K.Babkin has three Orders of the Red Banner, the Order of the “Badge of Honour”. He died on May 16, 1994. He was buried in Northern Kazakhstan, the village of Sokolovka.
