Born in 1926 in the village of Granki, Mozhaisky District, Moscow Region. At the beginning of 1943 he fought in the destroyer battalion of the city of Ruza, Moscow Region. After a short training in a training unit in the city of Murom, in December 1943 he voluntarily went to the front. He served as a machine gunner in the 592 rifle regiment of the 203 rifle division of the 2nd Ukrainian Front with the rank of private. In January 1944 he was hospitalized in the city of Tulchin, Vinnitsa region, Ukrainian SSR. Since the beginning of 1945, as part of the 2nd Belorussian Front, he liberated Czechoslovakia, received numerous thanks from the command for excellent actions in the liberation of the cities of Nitra, Banska Stiavnica, Komarno, Novy Zamky, Shurany, Komja, Titse, Vrable - strong strongholds of the German defense on Bratislava direction. Took part in the liberation of the city of Brno. I celebrated Victory Day in Czechoslovakia. In the summer of 1945, as part of a unit, he was sent to Mongolia (Choibalsan city) and China (Kailu county in Manchuria) to free them from the Japanese. The operation to liberate these territories was seriously complicated by the lack of roads, hot climate, desert and mountainous landscape. The troops moved mainly on foot and suffered heavy losses due to heat, lack of water and food, and disease. Viktor Yegorovich recalls this campaign as the most dramatic period in his combat biography. In September 1945, China was liberated from the Japanese occupation. For his participation in hostilities against the Japanese imperialists, Viktor Yegorovich was awarded the medal "For Victory over Japan". In the spring of 1946, Viktor Yegorovich was transferred to service in one of the units stationed in the Kuril Islands, which were included in the USSR after the surrender of Japan. He was demobilized on November 10, 1950 at the age of 24.
