Lykhin Yakov Alexandrovich

CITY: Yaroslavl region, Yaroslavl district, Zverintsevsky s / s DATE OF BIRTH: 01/01/1903 DATE OF DEATH: 01/28/1943 HISTORY: Title: Red Army man. Unit: 307th Infantry Novozybkovskaya Red Banner Orders of Suvorov and Kutuzov Division. Yakov Alexandrovich, my grandfather, was born in 1903 and was registered in the Zverintsevsky s / s village of Medvedkovo, Yaroslavl region, Yaroslavl district. Later, the village council became Medvedkovsky. He met his future wife, Natalya Alexandrovna Mamonova, in a neighboring village. They got married and began to live in the village of Osovye. Yakov Alexandrovich and Natalya Alexandrovna had four children, two sons: Pavel, Yuri and two daughters: Galina and Lyudmila. For his wife, Natalya Alexandrovna, he was a support. My dad was little when my grandfather was taken to the front. It happened on the very new year, December 31, 1941. Grandma cried a lot, as she felt that she was seeing grandfather for the last time. It was snowing, wives and children saw off their soldiers to the front and this new year did not bring joy to families. The distribution of fighters took place in the district military commissariat. They called Yakov Aleksandrovich and asked to hit the target from the weapon, there were three attempts. In all three targets, grandfather hit the top ten and was assigned to the 307th Infantry Division. Grandmother and grandfather wrote letters to each other every free minute. Grandfather's letters came home, but grandmother's letters did not reach Yakov Alexandrovich. Natalya Alexandrovna learned about this from a fellow villager, friend and colleague, Pavel Ivanovich Klyuchkin, when he returned home from the hospital for a visit after being wounded. Pavel Ivanovich told that grandfather was transferred to machine gunners, as he was an excellent shot. Before the battle, a colleague told a friend that machine gunners in battle were "removed" first and that he was more vigilant. Pavel Ivanovich was seriously wounded in battle and sent to the hospital. Pavel Ivanovich never saw Yakov Alexandrovich again. Yakov Alexandrovich was killed in a battle near Kursk, January 28, 1943. Primary burial site: Kursk region, Glushkovsky district, Sergeevsky s / s, Sergeevka village.
