CITY: Tatar ASSR, Bavlinsky district, with. Isergapovo DATE OF BIRTH: 01/01/1916 DATE OF DEATH: 01/01/1979 HISTORY: Title: Red Army soldier Type of troops: Armored and mechanized troops My grandfather, Latypov Nurgali, was born in 1916 in the village of Isergapovo, Bavlinsky region of the Tatar ASSR. After serving in the ranks of the Red Army in 1939, he returned to his native village. Since childhood, he loved technology, in the army he learned to be a driver. When the "Ural" collective farm first received 3 cars, he became one of the first drivers in his native village in 1941 . The Great Patriotic War began. In July 1941, after being drafted, he went to the front, in the car on which he worked on a collective farm. According to the grandfather's stories: “... It was a very cruel war. Having loaded the vehicles with shells and ammunition, we, a convoy of 30 vehicles, went to the front. On the way, they were bombed and only 3 vehicles reached the front. Then, having returned back to Moscow, we went to the front with ammunition again. We got there mostly at night, in a roundabout way and reached the front without losses. " Throughout the war, my grandfather supplied the soldiers with ammunition, shells, guns. One day he was surrounded. Having broken through the encirclement, he ended up in the partisan detachment of Kovpak. I had to learn a new military specialty - I became a machine gunner. But suddenly because of typhus my grandfather, along with other wounded soldiers, was taken by plane to Moscow. My grandfather took part in the Battle of Moscow, fought on the Kursk Bulge, liberated Czechoslovakia, fought in Austria. He met the victory in Germany near the city of Breslau. Awarded with medals: "For the Victory over Germany", "For the liberation of Prague", as well as many jubilee medals. After the Victory, he continued to serve in the army. He returned home only in the spring of 1946 and again sat behind the wheel of a car. All his life he worked as a driver in his native collective farm "Ural". For his conscientious work, he was awarded the Order of the Badge of Honor and he was awarded the titles "Honored Mechanic" and "Honorary Collective Farmer". Together with my grandmother, they raised 7 children and gave them education.
