Korytin Ivan Nikolaevich

Rank: Lieutenant Type of the troops: Land Forces, Air Force (except naval aviation), Coastal Service, NKVD troops, Border Guard I am a student in the 6th grade of Kindelinsky High School, I enjoy life. Every family has its heroes, has its own war history, and we need to know more about the heroism of our grandfathers - the glorious defenders of the motherland. I decided to write about the fate of my two great-grandfathers, about how different their lives were. They are two brothers Korytin Ivan Nikolaevich and Korytin Alexey Nikolaevich. The events of those years stand invisibly before me, two brothers, one forged a victory at the front and died, the other crowned his military service with a job behind him. Two brothers and two different fates!!! Ivan Korytin was born in 1922. In 1939, at the age of 17, he was drafted into the Soviet army. Before demobilization, the Great Patriotic War began. He served as commander of a machine-gun company, was a lieutenant. In 1942 the family received the news that Ivan was missing. He died during the Smolensk breakthrough. He was 20 years old. The news of his death came in 1943. I thought about it. Why is it so unfair? But he gave his life for our future without hesitation, without bargaining with fate. He gave his life not because the hero "is cut from a different cloth", but because it was necessary at that time in those terrible "forties - deadly". They are all soldiers. They did not think they were heroes, they did their duty, like people who go to work every day. God did not give them the victory to meet at home, to plow the fields, to educate their children, they lie in silence in the steppe, Alexey Korytin is my second great-grandfather, who crowned his military service with a job in the back and led a decent life for himself and for the one who did not return from the battlefield. Yes, and this is true. He was so eager to live, work, create, as for two. My great-grandfather was born in 1924 on 30 January after Ivan, the family was big - 9 children. The working biography began in 1937 at the age of 13 years on the farm "Red October". He worked as a craftsman, in a big collective farm - there was enough work. He started to help the family, raise children and do the household. It seems that life got better, and then the war.............! In 1942 Alexei was drafted into the army, into the Tozk camps, he was 18 years old. In 1943 he was sent to the military factory in im. Kuibyshev in Buzuluk. Every four military years he worked in the factory, the rule of life was "Everything for the front! Everything for victory!" Everyone worked selflessly. Within a month and a half the ammunition production was built up. The workers showed examples of work heroism. My great-grandfather told me and my father how difficult it was in those years. He worked as a foreman. He had 14-15 year olds on his team. They worked in two shifts. Throughout the war, my great-grandfather made mines and bomb shells. And for his conscientious work in the hinterland, he received the medal "for bravery in work". He had other medals, but he was very proud of them. My great-grandfather received the medal "for special merits" for special services. I worked in the factory all through the war, and it was there that I met Victory. I am deeply grateful to our veterans for the fact that today I live in a free Russia. We can say that they saved not only our country, but the whole world. I hope that in the future people will become wiser, friendlier and wiser and stop destroying their own kind for the sake of their lust for power. We will live, meet the dawn, believe and love. Just remember that! Just do not forget it! Believe me, people, the whole earth needs this memory. If we forget the war, it will come back.
