Gyrylov Tychkin Tsyrenjapovich

Gyrylov Tychkin Tsyrenjapovich was born on 15.08.1914 in the village of Dzhidiskiy district of the Republic of Buryatia. Branch of troops: army, air force (except marine aviation), the coast guard, the troops of the NKVD border troops. My grandfather on my father's side. Veteran of war and labor. Was a participant in the battle of Kursk. In one of the battles, he was wounded and hospitalized. Then he returned home, where he worked on his native collective farm until the end of the war. My grandfather was an amazing person! Cheerful and always ready to help! He had many friends and was highly respected. Whatever he did, it worked! He was a jack of all trades! All day long, in his little workshop, he worked his miracles! He perfectly mastered the technique of wood carving, built houses, had the skills of a blacksmith, drew well, and sang old Buryat songs beautifully... My grandfather was the best shot of the Buryat bow in the whole area! By the way, he made bows and arrows with his own hands. I do remember that every summer he produced wooden rakes, fork handles, etc for farm needs. All around the courtyard were sledges and carts made by his hands. We still have houses in our village built by his hands, household items: signs, chests, cabinets, etc. He was very fond of animals, was able to treat them according to folk recipes. And he also had a black horse, very beautiful and large! It recognized only my grandfather, never allowed strangers to approach him. On this horse, he grazed cows every summer. And when he was a meadow farmer, he harnessed his horse to a cart and left for the whole day to irrigate the meadows. My grandfather often took me with him. I remember very well how I hung my legs from the cart, looked at the clear blue sky and listened with ecstasy to my grandfather singing his old Buryat songs... It was so great!!!
