After graduating from the Pavlodar pedagogical school, he worked as a teacher. In 1940, Suraganov was called up to serve in the Workers 'and Peasants' Red Army. In 1941, he graduated from the courses for Junior Leiutenants. Since 1942 he had been on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War. By April 1945, Senior Lieutenant Kudaibergen Suraganov commanded the battery control platoon of 142nd Cannon Artillery Brigade of t33rd Army of 1st Belorussian Front. He distinguished himself during the Capture of Berlin. _x000D_ On April 16-23, 1945, Suraganov's platoon successfully adjusted the fire of its battery at German firing points, which helped the infantry break through to the Oder-Spree canal. By the decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of May 15, 1946, Senior Lieutenant Kudaibergen Suraganov was awarded the high title of Hero of the Soviet Union with the award of the Order of Lenin and the medal "Golden Star "number 9074. _x000D_ He was also awarded the Order of the Patriotic War of 1st degree and two Orders of the Red Star, a number of medals. In March 1947, Suraganov was transferred to the reserve. He lived in Alma-Ata. After graduating from the Kazakh Pedagogical Institute, he remained to teach there. He was Candidate of Science (Engineering). He died on February 14, 2008, was buried in Alma-Ata.
