Hello there!!I don't know much about my grandfather Vasily Kolbyashkin, December 31, 1917 - date of birth! He was drafted into the Red Army by Dubovsky District Military Commissariat of the Stalingrad Region on October 13, 1938 in the 24th Rifle Regiment where he served as a driver in 1938-1939. He participated in the Finnish war. After he served in 532nd Motor Transport Regiment from 1939-1942. These were already the difficult first years of the Great Patriotic War. Further, he served in the 15th Rifle Regiment as a gun commander from October 1942 to November 1943, and was also in the 105th Rifle Regiment from 1943 to 1944 as a gun Commander of the 85mm gun. He ended the war in the 8th Automobile Regiment as Commander of the drivers detachment in 1944-1946. I am Very proud of my grandfather and all the great feat of the Russian people, the Russian soul! I imitated my grandfather in many ways, even though I did not see him. He did not live until I was born. He was wounded more than once, lost ribs on one side. After he came home, he was a first-class driver and just a strong, honest and kind person for the rest of his life. The Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War was the main holiday for him. Such heroes as our grandfathers made the feat that for many centuries people on the planet should not forget, honor, and cherish it. One should learn to love his homeland, patriotism, strong faith in his country and people! Be true to your heart and Russian soul1 AND WE, RELATIVES AND CLOSE ONES ARE PROUD OF OUR GRANDFATHER AND WILL CARRY THE MEMORY OF HIM TO OUR CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN! ETERNAL MEMORY TO THE HEROES! RUSSIA!
Vasiliy Kolbyashkin
