Isupov Arkady Egorovich
Rank: Major Arkady Yegorovich was born in the Kirov region. It was 1939. The echoes of the impending war soared, but no one wanted to believe it was possible. He was called up for military service. He served in Tuapse on the 16th separate railway battery. On the night of June 22, 1941, Private Isupov was at the searchlight point, seven kilometers from the unit. Already approaching the unit, I saw an unusual revival. "War!" - Shouted a familiar sailor: "Germany has declared war on us!" And soon he was sent to a searchlight company in the front line. He will remember the fourth of July for the rest of his life. He arrived in Sevastopol at a time when the air raid was going on. The sensation was terrible, the earth trembled, it seemed that it swayed like a deck, explosions, screams. Then I got used to it. The worst thing was when there was a "star raid" - 50-60 German planes blew up the sky ... They also had to cover the city and the most important objects. In one of these raids, an air wave also concussed Arkady Yegorovich. A week of treatment, and then to Anapa, to the 36th separate anti-aircraft artillery division, to cover the aviation regiment ... At the front, there were changes, and the Germans were driven from their native land. On May 9, 1945, they were in Ochakovo, in dugouts, when Senior Lieutenant Kuryshev literally burst in at night. And he shouted: "Lads, victory, the war is over!" And then it began: they shot, shouted, hugged. There were also front-line 100 grams. But the war was not over. They were sent to Sevastopol, where they provided minesweeping. Only in March 1947 did Arkady Yegorovich returned home. “I believed and will believe that we won thanks to the steadfastness of Soviet soldiers,” Isupov says.
