The family had 4 children, he was the eldest. From an early age, Pete had to help his parents with the housework, from the age of 13 he began to travel with his father to Murmansk to work. And at the age of 14, his parents married Peter to a woman much older than him. In this marriage, 2 daughters were born. Life in the village became more and more difficult and he had to leave his family. Twenty-year-old Peter went to work in the central cities of the country. He worked as a carpenter at construction sites. He graduated from the 7th grade of the secondary school of the city of Orekhovo-Zuevo, and in 1932 he graduated from the same building technical school. In Mospino he met Kamyshnaya Maria Fedorovna (born on March 15, 1910), a native of the Chernigov region, Ukraine. The young woman, too, at an early age left her father's house and went to work. At first she worked in the fields at the state farm, later she got a job as a cook in the dining room. Young people moved from the central part of the country to the small town of Krasnodon to build coal mines. It seemed that the whole life was ahead. On October 20, 1941, Pyotr Fomich was mobilized by the Krasnodon district military registration and enlistment office for the construction of defensive structures, later he was enlisted in the active army in the II reserve rifle regiment, a shooter, where he served until January 15, 1942. He had mathematical abilities, was well versed in the coordinates on the ground, and was well oriented. From January 15, 1942 to May 10, 1942, he was enlisted in the 45th Western Artillery Regiment of the front as a radio operator-decoder. From May 10, 1942 to April 7, 1943, he served in the 8th Guards Separate Reconnaissance Artillery Division (ORAD) as a sound meter (Stalingrad Front). From April 7, 1943 to May 10, 1944, as part of the 3rd Ukrainian Front in the 8th Guards ORAD, as a sound meter. From May 10, 1944 to July 15, 1944, as part of the 1st Belorussian Front, the 8th Guards ORAD as a chemical engineer. Later he was transferred to the 43rd Cannon Artillery Zaporozhye-Odessa Red Banner of the Order of Lenin, Order of Suvorov, Order of Kutuzov, brigade as sound meter. Ivanov Pyotr Fomich went through the whole war, defended his homeland from his native threshold and reached Berlin. Member of the CPSU (b) since March 1943. Has gratitude: "For breaking through the enemy defense in the area of the city of Kovel", "For breaking through the enemy's defense on the western bank of the Vistula" (01.16.1945), "For breaking through the German border and invading the Brandenburg province" (01/31/1945), "For breaking through the German defense on the Oder River and attacking Berlin" (04/23/1945). Has military awards: medals "FOR BATTLE SERVICE" Order No. 041 / M dated 05/10/45, "FOR THE DEFENSE OF STALINGRAD", "FOR THE DEFENSE OF STALINGRAD" OVER GERMANY ". Ivanov Pyotr Fomich was demobilized on the basis of the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the SSR of 06/23/1945. In a peaceful life, he returned to his original profession of a construction technician. He worked at the Churilovo-Zapadnaya mine as a foreman. He built a house, raised 2 children, and made every effort to educate his children. He was always strict and demanding not only to himself, but also to those around him. Upon retirement, he worked as a carpenter, built houses for people. The Great Patriotic War undermined the health of Pyotr Fomich and on November 15, 1956 he passed away.
