Type of troops: Artillery Subdivision: 298th rifle division (1st formation) Ivanov Peter Alekseevich was born on July 12, 1921 in the village of Tashla, Gafuri district of the Bashkir ASSR. He was drafted into the Red Army on October 9, 1940, and served in the Far East. In December 1941 he was sent to the school for junior commanders. He entered the first battle in June 1942 on the Stalingrad front in the bend of the Don, near the village of Peskovatka and the Vertyachy farm. In this battle, he was wounded and sent to the hospital. But in connection with the current combat situation in the area of the Kutluban railway station, where his artillery regiment 828 occupied the defense, he left the hospital and returned to his unit. After the encirclement of the fascist army of Field Marshal Paulus, the 828 artillery regiment became part of the Don Front. On the day of Paulus' capture, P.A. Ivanov commanded an assault group, was wounded, but did not leave the battlefield. For courage and heroism shown during the Battle of Stalingrad, P.A. was awarded the Order of the Red Star. Then he took part in the battles on the Kursk Bulge, in the Korsun-Shevchenko battle, in the forcing and seizure of the fascist bridgehead on the right bank of the Dnieper. Ivanov P.A. participated in the liberation of the cities of Poltava, Sumy, Uman, Chisinau, Shpola. On March 24, 1944, as part of the 80th Guards Rifle Division, he was one of the first to cross the state border of the USSR. Then there were fierce battles for the cities of Timisoara, Szekesfehervar, Budapest, Vienna. I celebrated Victory Day in the city of St. Pölten, 50 km west of Vienna. Pyotr Alekseevich finished the war with the rank of captain. For his courage and bravery Ivanov P.A. awarded three Orders of the Patriotic War of the 1st degree, the Order of the Red Star, the Order of the Red Banner, 16 medals, among which are medals For Victory over Germany, For the Defense of Stalingrad, For the capture of Budapest, For the capture of Vienna. " After demobilization in 1947, he entered and graduated from the Pedagogical Institute, taught history, was the director of the school. From 1961 to 1987 he worked at OJSC Ufaneftekhim, he was awarded the title of Honorary Veteran of the Plant, Honored Innovator of the USSR. Ivanov P.
