He was born in 1918 in the village of Doronino, Vologda Oblast. At the beginning of the war, he studied at the Chuguev Military Aviation School, this is in Ukraine. Served as assistant platoon commander of the 1144th Infantry Regiment of the 340th Infantry Division of the Western Front. In January 1942, during street battles for Kaluga, Sergeant Lazarev replaced the seriously wounded platoon commander. Grandpa was always a smiling person and even after the war he did not lose his desire for life and faith in the best. He died in September 1991.
