Lukashevich Viktor Ivanovich

DATE OF BIRTH: 01.01.1907 DATE OF DEATH: 24.12.1942 HISTORY: Among other memorable days in our calendar there is a great date that has become a symbol. This is the unforgettable May 9, 1945. And the further in time this date is postponed. The more weighty and significant it becomes, as if absorbing and reflecting all the greatness of the unparalleled feat of the Soviet people and their army. There is not a single family in our village that has not been touched by this bloody battle. When the war began, 131 people went to the front from the village of Talbakul, Kolosovsky District, Omsk Region, 84 of them died. And my grandfather, Lukashevich Viktor Ivanovich, left our family for the front. Once, after tiring work on the collective farm, having come home, Viktor Ivanovich told his family that he and his fellow villagers were going to the front. Leaving, he promised to return soon. His kind, gentle letters often came from the front, and his loving son (Lukashevich Petr Viktorovich), daughter (Lukashevich Zoya Viktorovna) and wife (Elena Semyonovna) remained at home. The letters were eagerly awaited, they were read not only in the family, but also with neighbors, sometimes the whole village. In 1942, a letter came in someone else's handwriting. This was written by a friend of Viktor Ivanovich, telling the terrible news that his grandfather died heroically in the battle near Leningrad. He pulled wounded soldiers from the battlefield. Friends told him to wait, that the fire would soon die down, that it was dangerous for his life. But Viktor Ivanovich replied: "What if someone needs my help now." And again, and again, he delivered wounded soldiers to the dugout, until he himself was struck by an enemy bullet on December 24, 1942. (village Nora, Lychkovsky District, Leningrad Region) The tragedy that has happened has left a heavy burden on the souls of people who love it. Every year, on May 9, we go to honor the memory of the heroes-fellow countrymen with a minute of silence, once again read the names of fellow countrymen who did not return. The opening of the monument to the participants of the Great Patriotic War in the village of Talbakul, which took place on May 9, 1975, was very solemn with the whole village. There were no indifferent people. Indeed, as in the song - "with tears in my eyes." The monument was erected in a beautiful park founded by villagers. It is called Victory Park. I must say that the villagers always take good care of the Victory Park. A museum has been created in our school, which contains materials about the Great Patriotic War. The names of worthy sons who defended the Fatherland at the cost of their lives have been forever preserved for history, for the future generation. Heroes do not die, they go into the future and shine for us, alive, with their feat.
