Kosenko Ivan Romanovich
Rank: Lieutenant
My grandfather was drafted into the red Army almost at the very beginning of the great Patriotic War (in January 1942 by the Daursky RVC) when he was very young. During the entire War, he took part in numerous combat operations as part of 424 ozad MK, 381sd, 98sk, 935ap, fought for the defense of Moscow, participated in the battles of the Leningrad and 2 Belorussian fronts. He fought for the liberation of cities and villages not only of the Soviet Union, but also of the territories of Poland, Latvia, Belarus, and the Czech Republic.Victory met in Berlin-from April to 8.05.1945 in the ranks of soldiers of the Berlin offensive operation. He went through the entire war - from Moscow to Berlin and, most importantly, returned alive! For military services, he was awarded two Orders of the Red Star, the order of the Patriotic war II degree, the medal "for the defense of Moscow", the medal"for the victory over Germany in the great Patriotic War of 1941-1945". After the War, he returned to his native land - Krasnoyarsk territory, Daursky (now Balakhtinsky) district, the village of Krasny Klyuch. Married (wife-Rykova Nina Petrovna). He had three wonderful children-Alexander, Sergey, and Lyudmila. For the rest of his life, he worked as a teacher of physics and physical education at the Krasnoklyuchinsky secondary school. Until now, on the Internet you can find memories and warm words of his former students. It is a pity that he was not so early, in September 1971. We are proud to have such a valiant warrior in our family. His children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren will always remember him, passing on the memories of that difficult time from generation to generation.
