Kachevsky Nikolay Fedorovich
Rank: Lieutenant of Military Department: Land Forces, Air Force (except naval aviation), Coastal Service, NKVD troops, Border Guard Kachevsky Nikolay Fedorovich worked at Makashev School as a teacher of mathematics and physics, as a teacher of military training. He was born on April 24, 1921 in the village of Seloma, Borisoglebsky district, in a large farming family. He started working early. After seven years at school he worked in a collective farm. In 1937 he entered the Voronezh Aviation College, which he graduated on June 25, 1941, on the fourth day of the war. After the distribution he was sent to the Ufa engine building plant, where he worked for several months. In April 1942 he was drafted into the Red Army and sent to the courses of the command staff. After completing these courses he was sent to the Stalingrad front as an infantry platoon commander. The unit arrived on November 19, 1942, the day of the famous breakthrough, which ended with the encirclement of the Stalingrad fascist group. As part of Stalingrad, then the 3rd Ukrainian Front, Lieutenant N. F. Kachevsky participated in the liberation of the Donbass, south and right - Bank Ukraine, Moldova, Romania and Bulgaria. He met the victory in Sofia. He was awarded with medals and decorations. After demobilization in 1946, he entered the Borisoglebskij Teacher Institute. After graduating in 1948 he worked as a teacher of mathematics at the grammar school in Makashev. There he worked for 46 years, imprinting himself in the hearts and memories of his students and teachers. The teacher had many qualities: incorruptible honesty, decency, kindness to people, but the most important characteristic of his nature was the highest responsibility for the cause he served. In recent years, Reserve Officer N. F. Khachevsky taught children about military affairs. Conscripts knew the basics of military service, military regulations, acted skilfully in tactical exercises in offensive and defensive actions, received good skills in drill and fire training, and this was a great merit of the military leader. Nikolay Fyodorovich and Yulia Nikiforovna gave their children a lot of attention and warmth. There was a cult of knowledge in the family. The father taught the children to work independently. My son and my two daughters finished school with distinction and received a higher education. Anatoly became professor, doctor of science. Nadia and Natascha are engineers. They were not spared the difficulties of this friendly family. Nadia, the most energetic and cheerful of the children, died early, very young. This shocked the already older parents and seriously affected the mother's health. In 1996 Nikolay Fedorovich took a well-deserved break. The circumstances were such that they had to leave their house on the bank of the Khoperi River and move to the town of Borisoglebsk.
