Kolinchenko Mikhail Yakovlevich

It’s been a long time since the last volleys of the great Patriotic war died down. Courage and heroism, fortitude and bravery were demonstrated in this fierce struggle. Human memory keeps returning to the theme of war. The sudden outbreak of war struck the country, leaving no one indifferent. My great-grandfather Misha was born on September 14, 1924 in Berdyugino in Yalutorovsky district of Tyumen region. Joined the red Army in August 1942. On January 11, 1944, in the battle for the Ganshin in Vinnytsia region, he was appointed as the head of the intelligence Department and skillfully fulfilling the combat order, delivered necessary data about the enemy, returned to the company without losses, destroyed 5 enemy soldiers. As Komsomol leader of 2 MSroth, Kolinchenko Mikhail Yakovlevich was an exemplary commander of the Department, the perfect example of military discipline and execution of the orders of higher commanders. He awarded the medal "for Bravery". During the fights from July 16 to August 22, 1944 Mikhail Yakovlevich Kolinchenko, as a guards Sergeant of the 11th Guards tank corps of Prykarpathian red banner, served as a guard of the corps, vigilantly guarding against the enemy. On August 13, 1944, following the order of the corps commander and demonstrating the courage and bravery, he established a live connection with the commander of the 27-Gmsbr under heavy artillery and mortar fire from the enemy in Shlyakhetsk. My great-grandfather always carried out all orders accurately and became the perfect model of guard duty. He was awarded the medal "for military merit". Great-grandfather Misha fulfilled his duty to the Motherland in the Patriotic war, glorifying Russian weapons on the fields of great battles with the German invaders. He was awarded the order of “the red Star”, medals "for the liberation of Warsaw", "for the victory over Germany". As a memory, there is a Letter to the participant of the capture of Berlin (April-may 1945). After the war, my great-grandfather got married, and his daughter is my grandmother Lida. I was very lucky to find him alive. When I was small, I touched his medals - there were a lot of them. My great-grandfather passed away on October 26, 2014. Misha's great-grandfather is no longer alive, but my family will never forget that he and millions of other soldiers, who fought during the great Patriotic war, saved the whole world from fascism so that we could live under a peaceful sky. Bright memory to him!!! We remember and are proud!!! Ksenia Prudaeva (10 years old), 09.05.2020, Tyumen
