Kulikov Mikhail Afanasievich

Mikhail Kulikov was born on March 20, 1922 in Novo-Ivanovka, Karasuksky district, Novosibirsk region. In 1936 his parents came to Kazakhstan to Gusarka in Alekseyevsky district. He began his career in May 1937 as a worker in a gardening team in Gusarka, Alekseyevsky district. From November 1939, he worked as the literary employee of the regional newspaper “Stalinskaya Pravda” in Alekseyevka. From March to June 1940 he was an inspector of the Department of public education for adult schools. From July 1940 to November 1941- the Chairman of the District Committee Commission of Komsomol responsible for propaganda and agitation in Alekseevka. From October, 1942 to February, 1943- the listener of collecting of initial structure of cipher staff service of the staff of Volga military district. From February 19, 1943 to may 8, 1943- the student of the special courses for improving the command staff of the encryption staff service. From may 8, 1943 to may 30, 1944 Steppe front - Assistant chief of the 8th Department of the Front’s Headquarters, 2nd Ukrainian front. From May to August 1944-Assistant chief of the 6th Department of the 4th guards Airborne division, 2nd Ukrainian fleet. From August 1944 to July 1946-Assistant chief of the 5th Department of the 8th Headquater of the General staff of the Red Army. From July 1946 to July 1948, he was an officer of the 4th Department of the 8th Directorate of the General staff of the Red Army. From July 1948 to March 1950-head of the 6th part of the Akmola regional military Commissariat of the Kazakh SSR TURKVO. From March 1950 to December 1952-officer of the 1st part of Kuibyshev district military Commissariat of Tashkent TURKVO. From December 1950 to 1959-head of the 3rd part of Stalin district military Commissariat of Akmola region. From June 1959 to April 1963 - district military Commissar of Kiiminsky district military Commissariat of Akmola region of Kazakh SSR TURKVO. From April 1963 to July 1968 - district military Commissar of Yessil district military enlistment office of Tselinograd region TURKVO. From 1968 to 1978 he was working as a history teacher at the schools No. 4 and No. 1 in Alekseyevsky district. From 1978 to 1985-master of industrial training of Alekseevskaya driving school. From 1985 to 1989 - master picker of Alekseevsky experimental plant. Mikhail Afanasyevich worked as a Deputy Chairman of the District Council of veterans for 11 years. He did a great job to publish the book of Memory. He devoted 5 years to gather the documents about the fallen in battles, missing defenders of the Motherland from Akkol district. On December 01, 1994, the book of memory was published. Thanks to the efforts and perseverance of Mikhail Afanasyevich, a memorial complex dedicated to the fallen defenders of the Fatherland was erected on Akkol square. The Album of the heroes of the Soviet Union and the heroes of labor of akkolsky district with photograths was also collected. He had a lot to do with the release of 3 books "Let's bow to the dead and alived..." - collections of memoirs of veterans and home front workers of the district. He prepared and published 4 volumes as an editor of the city Council of veterans of Astana, where the several articles about his countrymen are marked. Mikhail Afanasievich is constantly on the move, in public concerns and affairs. Mikhail Afanasyevich got Government awards for services to the Fatherland, he has 3 orders and 25 medals, and in 2008 aslo awarded the order "Dostyk".
