Greshnov Andrey Andreyevich (the 11th of June, 1924 – the 28th of January, 2013) was born in the village of Malaya Gryaznukha (now the village of Zarechnoye) in the Balashovsky district of the Saratov region. In 1932 the entire family and their children were illegally repressed and all their property was confiscated. In 1942 Andrey Andreevich was called up into the Red Army and sent to the front. From 1942 to 1945 he marched from Leningrad to Berlin as a scout in the Volkhov, Leningrad, third Baltic and first Belorussian fronts. In November 1942 he was called up into the army of the Molotovobad regional military commissariat of the Tajik SSR and enlisted in the 76th reserve artillery regiment where he took the oath. In November and December 1942 he was transferred to the 315th separate artillery division, marching to the Leningrad front via Kirsanovka station. In January - June 1943 he participated in breaking the siege of Leningrad in the 315th separate artillery division. In June 1943 he was transferred from the 315th separate artillery division to the 20th artillery brigade of the 262nd artillery regiment where he was from March or April 1945 (in 1944 he was accepted as a member of the All-Union Communist Party. In the battles for the besieged Leningrad he was accepted as a member of the All-Union Communist Party. With a party card, a machine gun in his hands, grenades in his bosom, cartridges in his pockets, he walked the roads of death in continuous battles from Leningrad to Berlin, fulfilling his constitutional duty and oath of allegiance to the Motherland.
