He served in the 239th Regiment of the NKVD Convoy Troops in Sverdlovsk; first as a rifleman, then as a cadet of the regimental school. From 22.09.1939 – squad leader and Sergeant of the Outpost / 24 Mohyliv-Podilskyi Border Guards NKVD in Mogilev-Podolsky. He met the war on the border with Romania. In the first battle, he took command. Together with units of the Red Army, the border guards held the defense for ten days. They retreated only on orders. N. Blinkov as a serviceman of the 232nd Rifle Regiment, he fought on the Kalinin and Western Fronts, was a Deputy Platoon Commander, and by the end of the 41st year - a Platoon Commander. After two injuries (a severe wound to the left Shin and a light shrapnel wound to the left shoulder blade), in 1943, he was sent to study at Political School in Noginsk. From 10.07.1943 - cadet of the 2nd Moscow School of the SMERSH counterintelligence Department. Since 1943, he liberated the territory of Western Ukraine from the remaining fascist troops and Bandera gangs hiding in the forests. From the ranks of the Red Army, he was dismissed to the reserve on 10.05.1954. With the rank of First Lieutenant from the position of Deputy Chief of the Political Department.parts of the Kizelovsky UTL of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the USSR. After leaving the reserve, he worked in Katav-Ivanovsk of Chelyabinsk Region, as a Deputy Director of a Vocational School, Head of the Party Life Department of the Avangard newspaper, Instructor of the city party Committee, and Director of a timber processing plant. He had 3 children (2 daughters and a son), 6 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
