Tverdokhleb (Vorozheikina) Elizaveta Vasilevna

Tverdokhleb (Vorozheikina) Elizaveta Vasilevna Our mother, Tverdokhleb (vorozheikina) Elizaveta Vasilyevna was born on December 2, 1919 in the village of Pogromnoye in the Buzuluk district of Chkalov region in a family of peasants. She graduated from 10 classes in 1939 and entered the Stalinabad (now Frunze city) Teachers Institute. She graduated in 1942. From October 3, 1943 to December 31, 1946, she fought on the 3rd Ukrainian front in the SMERSH Counterintelligence Department as an assistant operative with the rank of Second Lieutenant. My mother didn't tell much about her service. We could only guess, looking at her wartime photos and her correspondence with her friends and dad. Their commander, the whole team was lovingly called "DAD". It is known that he had the military rank of major. Military uniform suited young girls-counterintelligence. They were always slim and well-ironed, like models off the fashion catwalk. During the difficult war years, it was the most "fashionable" clothing for girls. With their proud gait, they walked almost all of Europe. One day, in 1946, at a dance party in Bucharest, our father noticed a beautiful woman and decided to get aquainted her. He was very surprised when he was called to meet "Batya" (Dad) in counterintelligence. That's how our parents met. And on December 31, 1946, by order No. 2929 of the MGB of the USSR, my mother was discharged to the reserve with the rank of Second Lieutenant. For feats of arms my mother was awarded the Order "Patriotic War of II class", medal "For victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic war 1941-1945", medal "20 years of Victory in the Great Patriotic war 1941-1945", medal "30 years of Victory in the Great Patriotic war 1941-1945", medal "40 years of Victory in the Great Patriotic war 1941-1945", medal "50 years of Victory in the Great Patriotic war 1941-1945", medal "Zhukov". When the 55th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic war of 1941-1945 was celebrated, she was awarded the badge "Front-Line soldier 1941-1945". On behalf of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the Ukrainian SSR March 14, 1956, our mother was given a "Medal of motherhood" of II class. Ror many years of her diligent work on behalf of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR by decision of the Executive Committee of the Kuibyshev regional Council of people's deputies on 15 December 1975 our mother was awarded the medal "VETERAN of LABOUR". After leaving the Armed Forces, my mother devoted all her time to our family raising five children. When the younger brothers went to the sixth grade, my mother decided to get a job in the military Commissariat of the Soviet district. For a long time, she participated in draft commissions for the selection of draftees by team. After working for a long time in the military enlistment office, she decided to change her occupation and got a job in the dormitory of the communication cable factory, where she was offered the position of senior teacher. Constant meetings with interesting people of Samara, creative evenings, KVN, concerts dedicated to various topics and holidays, mandatory performances of front-line soldiers-participants of the Great Patriotic war. This is just a small list of events that our mother conducted with the plant's employees. The plant administration has repeatedly awarded her valuable gifts, cash prizes, and certificates of honor for her effective work with young people. In 1967, in honor of the 50th anniversary of the October revolution, veterans of the 611 Peremyshl Red Banner Fighter Aviation Regiment order of Suvorov invited our parents to Moscow. There were many interesting intimate meetings with friends-veterans. Our parents attended many events: they visited Red Square, laid a wreath at the Grave of the Unknown Soldier in the Alexander garden. They especially remembered the gala evening at the “Seventh heaven” restaurant in the Ostankino TV tower, when the whole of Moscow spread out under their feet. These were unforgettable moments in their lives, it was worth fighting and winning for. Eternal memory to all the soldiers who participated in the liberation of the whole world from fascism, to all the home front workers who forged Victory in the great Patriotic war in the rear!!!
