Stepanenko Fyodor Gavrilovich

Stepanenko Fyodor Gavrilovich was born on the 27th of June, 1921 in the village of Kazinka, Kursavsky district. In 1940, he graduated from the Circassian pedagogical school and was drafted into the army. He served in Moscow in a special Separate Squadron of NGOs, currently the Presidential Regiment. He graduated from the regimental school with the rank of Sergeant before the war. He began to fight in the 43rd Cavalry Regiment of the 50th division. At the end of 1941, while commanding a machine-gun car, he came under fire and was shell-shocked. While he was getting to the regiment, a funeral was sent home. At the end of December of the same year, he took part in battles near the village of Palashkino, where the famous Major General Dovator died. In January of 1942, he was wounded near the village of Ratkovo near Moscow, and was treated in a hospital for three months. In April, he was sent to a Lieutenant's course, and at the end, he was left at the school. In 1943, he was assigned to the 42nd Rifle Division as a platoon commander of anti-tank guns. With this division, he passed through Belarus, Poland, crossing the Oder and Elbe. He met the victory with the rank of Senior Lieutenant, commander of an anti-aircraft machine-gun company near Berlin. After the war, he continued to serve in Germany. In December of 1946, he was discharged as a specialist and teacher. In early 1947, he worked as a primary school teacher at school No. 11 in Cherkessk. In June of 1947, he started working at the Circassian pedagogical school as a methodologist inspector, a laboratory assistant in the physics Department, and a teacher. He was a Director of St. George's seven years of school also, high school Dehtiarivska Kochubeevskogo district of Stavropol Krai, teacher of biology, geography, operating a tractor in the Ivanovo high school. Then, for more than 18 years, he taught military Affairs at the Ivanovo secondary school, and retired from this position in 1989. He had 52 years of work experience. For many years Fyodor Gavrilovich headed the Council of veterans, the Council of disabled people of the Great Patriotic War in the villge of Ivanovo, Kochubeyevsky district, Stavropol territory. In 2000, he was awarded the rank of captain (by the personal order of V. Putin), as well as the Cossack rank of Podesaul. Fedor Gavrilovich Stepanenko has the following battle awards: 1. Order of the "Patriotic war of I class"; 2. Order of the "Patriotic war of II class"; 3. Order of the "Red star"; 4. The medal "For defense of Moscow"; 5. Medal "For the capture of königsberg"; 6. Medal "For liberation of Warsaw"; 7. Medal "For victory over Germany". Together with his wife Vera Tikhonovna Stepanenko F. G. raised a son and daughter, with whom they lived inseparably for 53 years. On December 14, 2014, Fyodor Gavrilovich died. After an illness-he suffered a massive stroke. He was buried in the cemetery of Ivanovskoye village next to his wife.
