HISTORY:_x000D_ Mikhail Malyshev was born in 1921 in the village of Derbeden in the Aktash District of the Tatar ASSR._x000D_ As a very young, 20 year old boy, he was called to the front in September 1941 as a senior telephone operator of the 84th Artillery Regiment of the 34th Division of the 5th Shock Army of the 2nd and 3rd Ukrainian Fronts. In 1942, he was taken prisoner, but managed to escape and continued heroically liberate our homeland from the Nazi invaders._x000D_ On July 18, 1942, during an artillery bombardment, Sergeant M. Malyshev fixed four breaks in the telephone line, which ensured uninterrupted firing by the division when repelling a counterattack by enemy tanks and infantry. For that deed, he received the Medal For Bravery._x000D_ After, on March 9, 1943, under heavy artillery and machine-gun fire of the enemy, he laid a telephone line from the observation post of the division commander to the forward observation post and during the day, despite mortar and machine-gun fire, fixed 37 telephone line splits, which ensured uninterrupted firing at detected targets and the retreating enemy. For this heroic feat M. Malyshev was awarded the Order of the Red Star._x000D_ He also participated in the liberation of Budapest and Vienna. Awarded: Orders of the Patriotic War 2nd degree, Medals For the Capture of Vienna, For the Capture of Berlin, For the Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945._x000D_ In May 1945, he was discharged. After the war, he got married and worked as a carpenter for the Bugulma Mechanical Plant. Relatives remember that when talking about the Great Patriotic War, he always tried to avoid questions, tears immediately welled up in his eyes. All those who went through the hell of the Great Patriotic War could not remember with a calm heart the terrible events that occurred in the life of our Motherland. Thanks to their heroic deeds, we can enjoy the sunrises and sunsets, the song of birds, and see this bright sky above our heads.
