HISTORY:_x000D_ Ivan Murzin was born in 1903 in the village of Diveevo, Gorky Region, and lost his parents very early. He had five sisters left on his shoulders. During these difficult years, fate brought him together with a full member of the Soviet Academy of Science Prokhorov. He had finished the same 4 years school in the village of Diveevo. He found out about my grandfather's exceptional abilities, and offered him a better education on full state support. Unfortunately, my grandfather could not take advantage of this valuable offer and leave his younger sisters._x000D_ The war began, and he was called to the front in July 1941 by the Diveyevskiy District Military Commissariat of the Gorkiy Region. From the Internet, I learned that my grandfather was a private of the sanitary company of the 10890th Lvov Red Banner Rifle Regiment. He fought on the Central, Western, and First Ukrainian Fronts._x000D_ During the war, he was an orderly. He took out dozens of wounded soldiers from the battlefield, treated wounds, bandaged them and applied splints. In January 1943, wounded in the arm, continued to save people, and later got into the medical unit. He fought until May 1945. On the website we found the original orders for awarding the grandfather and a description of his exploits._x000D_ He received the first Order of the Red Star on August 19, 1944. “During the breakthrough of the enemy defense in fierce battles, comrade I. Murzin, being in the infantry battle formations, provided first aid to 38 wounded soldiers and officers and evacuated them from the battlefield with their weapons. Later, while working at the field medical facility, he applied 45 splints to seriously wounded soldiers and officers.” This is a description of his feat from the award list._x000D_ He received the second Order of the Rred Star on February 16, 1945. “Comrade I. Murzin I. works as an excellent orderly, permanently at the regimental medical station since the beginning of the division's formation. In the last battles of 1945 in just 3 days, he applied 86 splints, more than 100 bandages, regardless of time and fatigue. He provided first aid to more than 40 seriously wounded people on the battlefield. For two days of fighting, being himself wounded, he did not leave his post. While being treated at the medical company, he continued his work.
