Sloyan with a group of fighters destroyed 5 machine guns, up to two platoons of enemy infantry, and successfully repelled a counterattack by enemy infantry and tanks._x000D_ The brave battery commander was awarded the medal For Bravery, and on December 7, 1943 – the second Order of the Red Star._x000D_ In the battles near the village of Zastenok Yurev of the Dubrovinskiy District of the Vitebsk Region on November 25, 1943, D. Sloyan commanded a platoon that destroyed 14 machine guns, destroyed 8 enemy dugouts, and ensured the advance of our infantry. After recovering, he continued to serve in the Red Army and was discharged in 1946. He worked for a collective farm, and from 1961 he worked for state farm #38 in the Ashtarak District.
