History:_x000D_ Mikhail Mikheev was born on May 1, 1920 in the village of Voetskoye, Baryshsky Ddistrict, Ulyanovsk Region._x000D_ Participant of the Great Patriotic War. Tanker. The Captain of the reserve. Awarded two Orders of the Red Star, the Order of the Patriotic War 2nd degree, 18 medals._x000D_ Representative of the legendary dynasty of Soviet tankers – nine Mikheev brothers: Viktor, Pavel, Fedor, Vladimir, Ivan, Alexander, Mikhail, Semen and Peter. On the eve of the war, five of them graduated from the Ulyanovsk Tank School, with the permission of the People's Commissar of Defense, the Mikheev tank company was created, in which six older brothers served. Viktor became the company commander, Vladimir became the Deputy, and Pavel, Fyodor, and Ivan were appointed platoon commanders. Alexander was a driver in this company. From the very first days of the war with Nazi Germany, the company of the Mikheev brothers smashed the enemy. They were more than once distinguished by their courage and bravery in battles. The platoon commander Ivan Mikheev was killed, then another brother, a mechanic-driver Alexander. The four Mikheevs continued to fight the German invaders. Viktor became the commander of the heavy tank battalion, and Pavel became his Deputy. For their skilful combat actions, Vladimir and Viktor were appointed company commanders. The Mikheev brothers fought bravely in the summer of 1942 near Barvenkovo and Kharkov. In these battles, Viktor was seriously wounded, and Vladimir was shell-shocked. Then, the tank brothers fought on different fronts of the Great Patriotic War. And Vladimir Mikheev, having already become the commander of the 36th Guards Tank Regiment, participated in the Battle on Berlin. And made the inscription on the wall of the defeated Reichstag on behalf of his family: "The end of fascism. Mikheevs in Berlin. Long live Victory!"_x000D_ The battle tradition of the seniors was continued by a tank crew consisting of the younger Mikheevs. Michael, Simon and Peter fought bravely in the battles with the Japanese militarists. Their tank, which was commanded by my father Mikhail Mikheev, went over eight hundred kilometers almost all of Manchuria on the road, through mountain passes, smashing the mountain formations of the Kwantung army. As part of the troops of the 259th Separate Tank Brigade, the 25th Army, and the 1st Far Eastern Front, the tank crew of the younger Mikheev brothers participated in the liberation of several cities. They met the end of the war on the Pacific coast. For courage and bravery in the battles to defeat Nazi Germany and militaristic Japan, nine brothers Mikheev were awarded a total of 85 military orders and medals._x000D_ Mikhail Mikheev died on September 23, 2003.
