HISTORY: My great-grandfather, Ivanushkin Alexander Petrovich, a participant in the Great Patriotic War. Born on February 22, 1908, in the village of Protasovo (Kolpnyansky District, Oryol Region). In 1939, at 31, he was drafted to the front. Great-grandfather came as a soldier, ended the war with the rank of lieutenant. At the front, Alexander Petrovich was a brave soldier and a reliable friend. He has a lot of photographs sent by his comrades as a keepsake. Great-grandfather left the Oryol region and went all the way to Germany and the capture of the Reichstag. He also had two brothers: Ivanushkin Nikolai Petrovich - a colonel, who came from the Oryol region to Eastern Europe and Ivanushkin Ivan Petrovich - a pilot. Participated in: - in breaking through the German defense in the eastern city of Stattgard and reaching the coast of the Baltic Sea in the area of ​​Kolberg (Gratitude of 03/04/1945 No. 288); - in the seizure of the cities of Western Pomerania: Belgrade, Treptow, Greifenberg, Cummin, Gultsov and Plata (Certificate of 03/06/1945 No. 292); - a breakthrough in the German defense and an offensive on Berlin (thanks 23.04.1945, No. 339); - in the seizure of the district and the main building of the Reichstag (Gratitude of 04/30/1945, No. 6); - in the mastery of Berlin (Gratitude from 05/02/1945, No. 359). - participated in the storming of the Reichstag as part of the 150 Idritsky rifle division. And they witnessed how Yegorov and Kantarii hoisted the banner of victory over the Reichstag. Great-grandfather has more than 15 medals. After this Great Victory, the great-grandfather was awarded numerous medals. From the front, my great-grandfather's wife Maria Petrovna and 3 children were waiting at home: - my grandfather Leonid Alexandrovich, who was 10 years old at that time, - my sister Evgenia - 9 years old, - brother Vladislav - 16 years old. Later, my grandfather moved them to live in Moscow, as my grandmother was seriously ill and grandfather needed help. My grandfather had a son in 1966 on September 19 - my dad and great-grandfather's grandson. Also, my great-grandfather saw me - his great-granddaughter, I was born in 1987 on December 12. In 1991, on April 10, my great-grandfather died. He was buried at the Khovanskoye cemetery in Moscow. Now we are looking after his grave: grandfather, grandson and great-grandchildren. I regret that little information was preserved and my great-grandfather did not particularly want to share difficult memories, and my grandfather does not remember much anymore - he is 80 this year. But I'm incredibly proud that I have such a great-grandfather. He is a real man, fearless, courageous ...
