Alexander Sukharev

Alexander Sukharev was born on October 11, 1923 in the village of Malaya Treshchevka, Zemlyanskiy District, Voronezh Region. After graduating from High School, he entered the Voronezh Military School of Communications. In December 1941, the young Lieutenant became the commander of a signal platoon. For more than two and a half years, he fought on various fronts. With the battles, he passed a thorny path from Moscow to the Vistula, commanded a platoon, a company, was the chief of communications of the regiment, and served as the chief of staff of the regiment. In September 1944, while crossing the Narew River in Poland, he was seriously wounded. After demobilization, he was engaged in educational work among young people. Took part in the Nuremberg trials. In 1950, he graduated from the All-Union Law Correspondence Institute and devoted himself to work in the field of law. In September 1970, Alexander Sukharev was appointed first Deputy Minister of justice of the USSR. He became the Minister of Justice of the RSFSR in 1984. From May 1988 to October 1990, Alexander served as the Prosecutor General of the USSR. Since December 2006, he has been an adviser to the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation. In addition to high career achievements, Alexander Sukharev was active in research work. He was the author of more than 120 scientific papers, including the book "Our people's court", scientific publications on the fight against crime and the formation of legal awareness of the population, and editor-in-chief of the Russian Legal Encyclopedia, published in 1999. Participated in the drafting of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Russian Federation and other fundamental acts in the field of combating crime and protecting the rights of citizens. Alexander - member of the Public Council of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation. Takes part in all Patriotic, educational events held by the Department. He was awarded two Orders of the Patriotic War of the 1st and one of the 2nd degree, the Order of the Red Banner of Battle and the Red Star. By the decree of the President of the Russian Federation "For high achievements in strengthening the rule of law and order", he was awarded the highest class rank in the Prosecutor's Office - Full State Adviser of Justice. For his outstanding achievements he was awarded the Order of the October Revolution, two Orders of Labor Red Banner, Order the Honor Sign, Order of Friendship of peoples, Order For Merits before Fatherland 4th degree and the medal Veteran of the Prosecutor office and the insignia For Loyalty to law of the 1st degree.
