Eleev Dorji Szachuewich
Branch of military: army, air force (except marine aviation), the coast guard, the troops of the NKVD border troops. Eleev Dorji Shakuevich was born on February 22, 1922 in the village of Chilgir in the Chernozemelsky district of the Kalmyk ASSR. After graduating from the Ulan-Ergin school in 1941, he volunteered to serve in the red Army, where he was sent to the Buinak military infantry school. After graduating from the buinak military infantry school in 1942, he was sent to the South-Western front by order of the STVO. He was enlisted in the personnel of the 186th rifle regiment, 181st rifle division of the 62nd Army as a commander of a mortar platoon. He participated in the battles of the South-Western, Stalingrad, and first Belorussian fronts. In the autumn of 1944, he was removed from the front on national grounds and transferred to the reserve, and then in November 1945, by order of the Siberian military district, he was dismissed to the reserve. After returning to his native land in 1958, he lived and worked first as a mechanic, and then as a chief engineer before retiring at the Chilgir state farm in Yashkul district. In 1974, by decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the Kalmyk ASSR, he was awarded the title "Honored machine operator of the Kalmyk ASSR"for many years of conscientious work. In 1982, he was awarded The "veteran of labor" medal. In 2010, he was awarded the Jubilee medal "Forever together" in memory of the 400th anniversary of the Kalmyk people joining the Russian state.
