Erdniev Pyurvya Muchkaevich He was born on October 15, 1921 in the Khutsyn-Tolga tract of IKI-Bukhusovskaya parish of Maloderbetovsky aimag of Kalmyk region in the family of a farmer-chiropractor. In 1940, he was consceipted to the red Army. He met the war as a cannoneer on the Western borders. He faced the first battle in July 1941 as a vehicle’s gunner of a 45-mm gun near the city of Berdichev in Ukraine. The calculation of the tool was ordered to destroy the enemy landing force by direct aim, which took an advantageous fire position on the water tower. The task was completed, but with heavy losses among our not yet shot young guys. In 1941, he received his first wound - in the head. After recovering in the hospital, he returned to the front line. In the autumn of 1941, his battery fired at the enemy, who occupied the right shore of the Dnepr, in the area of the island "Khortytsia". We also had to experience the difficult days of the red Army's retreat. After another treatment in the hospital, soldier of the red army P. M. Erdniev was sent to the courses of Junior Lieutenant-gunners, after the end of which he returned to the front and was appointed platoon commander of the Guards fighter-anti-tank artillery regiment. He participated in heavy fighting in East Prussia. He was seriously wounded in the offensive battles near the city of Goltap as part of the 3rd Belorussian front, and later in the hospital, his leg was amputated. The Victory day was celebrated in the hospital in Ivanovo. He was awarded many medals and two orders for his feats in the great Patriotic war: These are World war I and II degrees. Erdniev worked as a senior teacher and associate Professor at the Department of mathematics methodology of the Stavropol pedagogical Institute. And since 1964, head of the Department of algebra/geometry and methods at the Kalmyk pedagogical Institute, later Kalmyk state University.
