Epov Guriy Nikolaevich Epov Gury Nikolaevich was born on 24.12.1912 in the village of Dyrbylkey, Borzinsky district, Chita region in the family of a military doctor Nikolai Anempodistovich. Arina, the mother, died when he was a baby, Nicholay Anempodistovich died in the civil war. Guriy and his sister Elena were raised by their grandfather. According to the memories of Guriy Nikolaevich, my grandfather started working early in the morning. Elena and Guriy worked themselves from the age of 3-4, grazing poultry. After work, adults gathered for evenings where they sang, danced, talked, and children played nearby or listened to stories from one of the adults. When Guriy was 5 years old, the Anempodist was dekulakized, arrested, and sent to Kazakhstan. They passed through the far East, where an Anempodist died on the way. Elena and Guriy ended up in an orphanage, where Guriy graduated from primary school. Then he was trained at the Borzinsky district school and qualified as a veterinary paramedic. In 1941, at the age of 29, he was drafted into the army. He served in the Siberian division, which was nicknamed "Wild" for its courage, desperation, and inflexibility. Guriy Nikolaevich later recalled the Volkhov front: "I will not forget November 18-19, 1941, until the end of my life. Our 5th company was thrown into the exploration right under the accurate fire of the Germans. And we were going to certain death, because we knew that if we distracted the Germans here, they would not have the strength to reach Leningrad! Almost all of our company was killed in those swamps, and I myself came to in the field infirmary with a serious wound." After numerous shrapnel wounds from an air RAID, Guriy Nikolaevich fought for life in hospitals for about a year, then was discharged as unfit for duty. Gury Nikolaevich Epov worked in the rear. He married Tatyana Konstantinovna Panova, with whom he raised 9 children. After working at the Daursky state farm for many years, he received the title of labor veteran. Guriy Nikolaevich was a sympathetic, competent specialist. To this day, the older generation remembers with gratitude how he saved livestock, regardless of the time of day and even when he was already retired. Guriy Nikolaevich actively participated in the life of the village. He was often invited to meetings with young soldiers and children, where with his memories he tried to lay the history of his Fatherland in the memory of young people. Guriy Nikolaevich led the search for fellow soldiers and relatives of fellow soldiers who died at Tikhvin. Being a sociable person, he sought to unite people. He found relatives through Newspapers and corresponded with a huge number of people. He wrote articles in Newspapers on exciting topics. The Epov family had a large subsidiary farm. In the courtyard there was a sauna, a gazebo, sheds built with their own hands, a well-groomed vegetable garden. Guriy Nikolaevich at work did not forget to deal with the upbringing of children. He considered it important that children know their roots and remember their ancestors. His children, and then his grandchildren, listened to his stories with great interest. Shortly before his death, Guriy Nikolaevich told his eldest son about his childhood, showed the place where he grew up. Now only the Foundation remains of the house.
