After graduating from high school in the town of Lokhvytsia in 1941, he entered the Kharkov military aviation school of communication (HAUS). Due to the offensive of the German-fascist troops, the school was evacuated to Kokand (Uzbekistan). After completing his studies, he was awarded the military rank of "Junior Lieutenant". At the front since 1944 as commander of the staff platoon of the 323rd separate communications company of the 327th Bomber Aviation division of the 4th air Army, 2nd Belorussian front with the rank of second Lieutenant, Lieutenant. After the end of the great Patriotic war, he served in various command positions. In 1947, he entered and in 1953 graduated from the Riga red banner Higher aviation military school (RKVIAVU) with the rank of captain. In December 1949, he married my mother - Vinnik (Popova) Lyudmila Stepanovna. My parents lived together for 59 years. After graduation, my father was sent for further military service in the aviation unit of Pugachev (Volga military district), then in Syzran, Kuibyshev region, to the Syzran higher military aviation school of pilots (SVVAUL). At the military school, dad served in command positions. He finished his service in 1974 with the rank of Colonel. Veteran Of the armed forces of the USSR, veteran of labor, veteran of SVVAUL. Until 1996, they lived at my place of service in the Arkhangelsk region. In 1996, with the money collected, they managed to buy an apartment in Syzran and their parents returned to Syzran. All the time, my mother, Lyudmila Stepanovna Vinnik, was by my father's side, and she shared all the hardships and hardships with him. My mother worked in the Soviet press, a veteran of labor, a member of the Union of journalists of the USSR. She died on April 5, 2010, a year after her father's death. Parents are buried in the city cemetery of Syzran, Samara region "Fomkin garden" on the alley of veterans.
