In the first days of the great Patriotic war, Mikhail Vinogradsky was drafted into the Soviet army and sent to the Voronezh front. M. V. Vinogradsky served in the 107th division of the 40th army, which took part in the liberation of our region and the city of Stary Oskol from the Nazi invaders. M. V. Vinogradsky reached Konigsberg, and on may 9, 1945, their regiment was sent to the war with Japan. The war ended for him on September 2, 1945. In December 1945, a young officer who was awarded five medals returned to the village of Kaplino in the Starooskolsky district to his girlfriend Alexandra Strelnikova, who soon became his wife. In 1947, M. V. Vinogradsky was appointed Director of the basic school number 4 at the southern railway. In 1966, M. V. Vinogradskiym was appointed Director of the school-new building number 8, which was located on 72A Proletarskaya street. Soon the school was given the status of the city's main school. We created conditions for creative and fruitful work of teachers and students. From 1970 to 1974, four years in a row, the school won the red banner in the competition to prepare educational institutions for the new school year. It was left in the school forever and now as a relic number 1 is stored in the school Museum "Chronicle". M. V. Vinogradsky passed away on August 25, 1982.
