Martynov Andriyan Fedorovich, 1901 – 1966. Born in the village of Pleshcheevka, Kolyshleysky district, Penza region. Called up by the Kolyshley Regional Military Commissariat. He participated in the Civil War, in the Second World War since April 1943. He fought on the 1st Baltic Front. Was a gunner of a light machine gun of the 2nd platoon, 2nd rifle company, 1st separate rifle battalion, 145 separate rifle brigade. In battles he showed courage and endurance. In the offensive, he conducted aimed fire at the main points of the enemy and the enemy infantry. As part of the platoon, he repulsed 4 enemy counterattacks. In this battle he destroyed 9 enemy soldiers and officers, was awarded the medal "For Courage" on November 13, 1943.
