Dmitry Petrovich Kryukov, 1912 - 1990 Born in the village Kizhevatovo, Bessonovsky district, Penza region. Went to the front in 1941 as a scout in the 10th Army. His wife and four children remained at home. He took part in the Moscow battle, in the liberation of over 5000 settlements and 19 cities of the Ryazan, Tula and Smolensk regions. After the war, he had 4 more children. By the decision of public organizations and the administration of the Stepanovskiy state farm on December 17, 1961, he was awarded the title of “Drummer of Communist Labor”. On September 01, 1972 he retired.
