Fadin Nikolay Ivanovich, 1927 - 1976 Drafted into the ranks of the Soviet army in 1941. Studied at the Artillery School in Tatishchevo, Saratov Region. He took part in the crossing of the Dnieper. Further he moved with army units to Yugoslavia, Romania, Austria. Was a gunner, spotter of anti-tank cannon guns. Destroyed a large number of enemy tanks and other equipment. For military services he was awarded orders and medals. After the end of the war, he returned to his native village Kanaevka, Saratov region, where he worked as a teacher of literature and history, and became the director of the school.
