Anjuraev Yaman Anjuraevich was drafted on July 21, 1941 by the Sarpinskiy ulus military commissariat. He was sent to the Rostov Military Infantry School. The school was stationed near Novocherkassk in a summer camp. In mid-October 1941 he took part in defensive battles for Rostov. In one of the battles he was wounded, together with other wounded he was taken to Armavir. In December, they were discharged from the hospital and sent to Prokhladnaya station, where marching teams were formed. From there they were sent to the Bryansk front. Yaman Anjuraev began serving in the 81st Infantry Division, which was part of the 48th Army. He was sent to a two-month advanced training course for command personnel at the courses for junior lieutenants of the Bryansk Front. In November, junior lieutenant Anjuraev was released to the post of adjutant of a rifle battalion. Anjuraev arrived in Yelets. Here he received a referral to his division, which was part of the 13th Army, for the position of platoon commander of a separate ski battalion. The battalion performed various missions. He stood on the defensive, his units often raided behind enemy lines. Skiers carried out reconnaissance and sabotage operations. They took prisoners. Once the junior lieutenant Anjuraev with two Red Army men barely dragged the "tongue", the Fritz turned out to be large and heavy. On February 9, 1943, the division liberated the Ponyri station, after which it took up defensive positions on the occupied lines. Lieutenant Anjuraev, clearing the Kursk land, was seriously wounded in the head and shell-shocked. He goes to the hospital again, where he underwent surgery, but had to remove his eye. By the decision of the Commission of the Supreme Command, the subsequent order of the Ural Military District, junior lieutenant Yaman Andzhuraevich Andzhuraev in February 1944 was demobilized from the USSR Armed Forces due to injury. He was awarded the Orders of the Patriotic War I and II degrees, six medals.
