Averyanov Ivan Ilyich

CITY: Village of Dvoynoy Melensky District, Vladimirovsk Region DATE OF BIRTH: 05/08/1908 DATE OF DEATH: 05/18/1984 HISTORY: Title: Sergeant. Division: 341st Infantry Division (1st Formation). My great-grandfather, Ivan Ilyich Averyanov, became a member of my family of participants in the Great Patriotic War. He was born on May 8, 1908 in the village of Dvoyny Melensky District, Vladimirovsk Region. The son of simple peasants Ilya Antonovich Averyanov and Evdokia Fedorovna Averyanova. Received four classes of education. At 22, he married Natalya Ilyinichna Repina. A year later, their son Ivan was born, and two more later, their daughter Valentina, my grandmother. But Ivan Ilyich did not enjoy his happy family life for long. In 1939 he was drafted to the front during the Russian-Finnish war. On August 13, 1941 he was enlisted in the Red Army. He was declared unfit for combat service and from September 12, 1941 to July 13, 1942, he was appointed deputy political officer of the 1141 rifle regiment of the 341 rifle division. In 1943 he was transferred to the 6th training auto battalion in the third company, where he served until demobilization. He was a participant in the Russo-Japanese War. Twice received minor wounds and was sent to the Sochi hospital. He returned home on December 31, 1945. The reunited Averyanov family settled in the village of Podgornoye, Novoselsky district, Grozny region (now the village of Shalazhi, Chechen Republic), where they lived until 1959. Later, the Averyanovs moved to the homeland of Ivan Ilyich, but did not stay there for a long time. Nine months later, they moved to the village of Zaterechny in the Nefiekumsky District of the Stavropol Territory, where their descendants still live. Ivan Ilyich has nine grandchildren who regularly meet in his house, continuing the family tradition. Averyanov Ivan Ilyich died on May 18, 1984 in the village of Zaterechny at the age of seventy-five years.
