In 1934-1936 he studied at the Moscow Institute of Physical Culture. In the army since August 1936. In 1939 he graduated from the Yeisk Naval Aviation School. He served as a pilot in the naval aviation (Air Force of the Black Sea Fleet). Member of the Great Patriotic War: in June-September 1941 - pilot of the 8th fighter aviation regiment of the Navy Air Force, in October 1941 - January 1943 - pilot, flight commander and deputy squadron commander of the 18th (from March 1943 - 8th Guards) assault Aviation regiment of the Navy Air Force, in January-March 1943 - squadron commander of the 47th Assault Aviation Regiment of the Navy Air Force. From March 1943 - commander of an air squadron, and in April 1943 - January 1944 - commander of the 8th Guards Attack Aviation Regiment of the Navy Air Force. He fought in the Air Force of the Black Sea Fleet. Participated in the defense of the Crimea and the Caucasus. He flew 234 sorties (of which 63 - on I-16 and LaGG-3 fighters, and 171 - on Il-2 attack aircraft). For courage and heroism shown in battles, by the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of June 24, 1942, Senior Lieutenant Efimov Miron Efimovich was awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union with the Order of Lenin and the Gold Star medal. In June 1944 he graduated from the Higher Officer Courses of the Navy Air Force. In July-September 1944 - assistant commander of the 26th assault aviation regiment for flight training and air combat (Pacific Fleet Air Force). In 1944-1946 - senior pilot-inspector of assault aviation of the Flight Inspectorate of the Navy Air Force. In 1947 he graduated from the Higher Officer Courses of the Navy Air Force. In 1947-1954 he served as Chief of Staff of Fighter Aviation Regiments (Air Force of the Black Sea and North Baltic Fleets). In 1954-1957 - senior navigator of the 1080th air defense command post of the Baltic Fleet, since 1957 - senior navigator of the combat control group of the main command post of the Lvov air defense corps. Since July 1961, Lieutenant Colonel M.E. Efimov is in reserve. He worked as chief of staff of civil defense: one of the defense enterprises (1962-1965), the Institute of Geochemistry and Analytical Chemistry (1965-1969), the Research Institute of Introscopy (1969-1970) and the All-Union Scientific Research Institute for the Standardization of General Technology (1970-1981 ). He lived in Moscow. He died on September 3, 2013. He was buried at the Khovanskoye cemetery in Moscow.
