On April 24, 6 Il-4s were in the lead in bombing a German convoy. All 6 bombers attacked the ship "Archduke Karl", but it was not injured. On the night of August 20-21, 1944, during an attack on the Constanta naval base (Romania), 11 Il-4 bombers were attacked by a pair of Bf.110G-4 night fighters from 8 / NJG6 (8th detachment of the 6th night squadron Luftwaffe fighters). Aglotkov's plane was shot down. The entire crew was killed: the commander of the 1st guard squadron Captain Chuprov, the navigator of the 1st guard squadron Captain Aglotkov, the communications chief of the 1st guard squadron, senior lieutenant Vorobiev, guard air gunner Sergeant Dovbnya.
