Ivanov Mikhail Vasilievich

Ivanov Mikhail Vasilyevich was born in 1916 in the Leningrad region, in a working class family. After graduating from school (1932), he studied at a factory school (1934). He began his career at a plant in Kronstadt. Was drafted into military service, served in the Baltic Fleet, on the battleship Marat (1936). During the Great Patriotic War he took part in the heroic defense of Leningrad. He was seriously wounded (1942). Was being treated at a military hospital in Sverdlovsk. I learned about the formation of the Ural Volunteer Tank Corps, submitted an application, and achieved enrollment in the Sverdlovsk Tank Brigade. On May 1, 1943, he took the oath, swore an oath of loyalty to the working people. He served as a scout, repeatedly conducted reconnaissance of the enemy's front line of defense. He passed the military way from Kursk to Berlin. Liberated Prague. At the front, he joined the ranks of the CPSU (1944). After the end of the war, he came to Severouralsk (1955), got a job as a mechanic at the Cheremukhovskaya mine. After graduating from the evening department of the Krasnoturinsk Industrial College, he worked as a foreman in the mechanical workshops of the mine. Conducted a great public work. Elected as a deputy of the village council. Chairman of the primary organization of the "Knowledge" society, member of the board of the city society "Knowledge". After graduating from the Institute of Marxism-Leninism, he lectures on an international topic (1965). For high professionalism and active life position he was awarded the Order of the October Revolution, the jubilee medal “For Valiant Labor. To commemorate the 100th anniversary of V.I. Lenin ". For the valor and courage shown in the Great Patriotic War, he was awarded two Orders of the Red Star, the Order of Glory of the III degree, medals "For military merit", "For the capture of Berlin", "For the liberation of Prague." He passed away on February 24, 1978. The staff of the Cheremukhovskaya mine filed a petition to rename Shakhtyorskaya Street into Mikhail Vasilyevich Ivanov Street - a participant in the Great Patriotic War in connection with the 40th anniversary of Victory. By the decision of the executive committee of the city council of April 25, 1985, the petition was warmly supported. A street named after Ivanov appeared in the village of Cheremukhovo.
