Artyukhov Alexey Yakovlevich

CITY: Village of Fotevizh, Chervony district, Sumy region DATE OF BIRTH: 03/17/1921 DATE OF DEATH: 04/19/2000 HISTORY: Type of troops: Aviation. My dad, Alexey Yakovlevich Artyukhov, was born in 1921 in the Sumy region, finished his seven-year school in 1923, and was called up for military service in the 387th howitzer artillery regiment in October 1940.From January 41 to February 42, he was a cadet of the school of aviation masters and after graduation he was sent to the 197 fighter aviation regiment, to the Arctic (Karelian Front), to the control link of the Air Force as an aircraft mechanic, where he served until May 1945, there were injuries and concussions. On June 27, 1946 he was demobilized. After completing courses at the Moscow Architectural and Construction College, where he received the specialty of a master in the installation of steel structures (with a grade of 5), a peaceful life began. He married Alexandra Ilinichna Roditeleva, originally from the Bryansk region in 1947, and in 1948 I was born, Valentina, and a year and a half later, in 1950, my younger sister Galina was born. And our difficult nomadic family life began. Being a specialist in the installation of steel structures, my father often had to change his place of residence together with us, since blast furnaces, "magnets", were built throughout the Soviet Union: Lipetsk (1947 - 1950), Angarsk (1951 - 1952), Rustavi - Georgia (1952 - 1955), Chiaturi - Georgia (1955 - 1956), Makeevka - Ukraine (1955 - 1960), Temir-Tau (1960 - 1961), again Lipetsk (1961 - 1964) , again the city of Makeevka - Ukraine (1964 - ...). So, having started as a steel structure erector, my dad ended his career as the head of the erection department. This is how we, by the will of fate, ended up in Ukraine, being Russian in origin and spirit. On the awards received for military and labor exploits: 1. Medal "For the Defense of the Arctic" A No. 040880. Decree of the Presidium of the USSR Armed Forces dated December 5, 1944; 2. Medal "For Victory over Germany" В №0168404. Decree of the Presidium of the USSR Armed Forces dated 05/09/1945; 3. Medal "For Labor Valor" - 1959; 4. Medal "For Valiant Labor" -1970; 5.
