Luppov Feodot Yakovlevich

CITY: Antipovka village, Belo-Kholunitsky district, Kirov region DATE OF BIRTH: 06/06/1909 DATE OF DEATH: 01/05/1996 HISTORY: Luppov Feodot Yakovlevich was born in Antipovka village, Belo-Kholunitskiy district, Kirov region June 6, 1909. In 1941, he and his family: his wife Elena Afanasyevna and two sons Leonid, Vitaly (my great-grandfather) and their little daughter Anya, who was born exactly one year before the start of the war. June 22, 1940 - he lived in the village of Mokhovsky, Zaevsky village council, Nagorsk district, Kirov region and worked on a collective farm, that is, he was an ordinary peasant. In June 1941, my great-great-grandfather was 32 years old, and he was immediately called up to the front. He was an ordinary Red Army soldier in the infantry troops. In the spring of 1943, on the Volkhov front, where Theodot Yakovlevich fought, our troops went on the offensive. German aircraft bombed the attackers. Many died or were seriously injured in this battle. Among them was my great-great-grandfather. He was seriously wounded in the head and arm, and was also wounded. Great-great-grandfather was covered with earth. The sanitary dog found him, dug him up and thereby saved his life. With severe wounds, the hero was sent to the hospital. After treatment, he became disabled and was discharged. Luppov returned home to his family. He has several awards for his participation in the war, but, unfortunately, they are lost. Due to the complex and unusual name (which is indicated differently in different documents), they could not be restored in the archives. My great-grandfather's family life was happy; after the war, he and his wife had two more daughters - Nina and Galina. All his life until retirement he worked on a collective farm. Feodot Yakovlevich died on January 5 in 1996 at the age of 86. I am proud of my hero and very grateful to him for his contribution to the Victory
